Discipleship Group

YOU WEREN’T MEANT TO DO LIFE ALONE

What is a D Group?

A Discipleship Group (D-Group) is a gender-specific group of 3 – 5 men or women committed to growing together for 12 months for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation, accountability, and multiplication.

What to Expect:

By committing to five weekly disciplines (weekly inputs), over time it will result in life-change for each individual as you grow to be more like Jesus (seen in the M.A.R.C.S. of a Disciple).

What is the Commitment?

  • Meet weekly as a D-Group (60-90 minutes). When unable, you will stay involved through sharing H.E.A.R. Journals and prayer requests.
  • Commit to the five weekly disciplines (Bible Reading, H.E.A.R. Journals, Scripture Memory, Accountability, and Prayer)
  • Contribute to a group atmosphere of confidentiality, honesty, and transparency.
  • Pray weekly for the other D-Group members and those in your life who don’t know Jesus.
  • Pray and look for others in your life who you can invite into a new D-Group once this current group multiplies.
  • Give yourself fully to the Lord during this time as you anticipate a season of accelerated spiritual transformation.

How can I be Involved?

Anyone who is a follower of Christ can lead a Discipleship Group. If you’re not already in a Community Group, we strongly encourage you to join a Community Group first, as that is one of the primary places for identifying other individuals you should invite into doing a Discipleship Group with you.

When to start?

Discipleship Groups can start anytime; however, be strategic about using the calendar to your benefit. January/February and August/September are natural times in the calendar rhythm when people are often setting new schedules/habits. Be strategic and leverage the times in the calendar most conducive to starting.
