Pleasant Valley values living with open hands and open hearts. One way we can love our city this Christmas is by providing resources to families in need in our community.

Hope Center | Hats, Gloves, and Scarves

For over 20 years, The Hope Center has planted seeds of hope within Kansas City’s Eastside community. Meeting the needs of those in their community, PV is partnering to provide gloves/hats/scarves/socks so that The Hope Center is positioned to bless the community around them. We are asking all PVer’s to bring a new hat, new gloves, new scarf, or a package of new socks so that we can continue to watch our partnership with The Hope Center thrive.

Urban Christian Academy | Snacks

UCA believes that God’s heart is about transforming and restoring what is broken and that he had a deep love and compassion for all children no matter their zip code. Imagine not having a pillow or blanket at home as it gets cold. We are challenging our kids and student ministries to collect a new pillow and new blanket for each scholar at UCA to bless them in real, tangible ways. UCA uses over 1200 snacks per week, so our Kid’s Rally kids have been challenged to bring specific snacks to Kid’s Rally and we will match what they give so that scholars can continue to learn and flourish. In addition, PV is helping the Christmas Store at UCA come to life where each scholar will get a new gift for Christmas.

Hillcrest Hope | Housing and Community Support

Empowering the homeless and working poor to achieve personal independence through transitional housing, accountability, education, and community support. Help Hillcrest continue to meet the needs in our community by your financial gift.

Love, Inc. | Food Pantry and Emergency Housing

Love INC is a partnership of Christian churches that have joined together to provide volunteer and financial support for the operation of Love INC. Your financial gift will enable services such as a food pantry, emergency housing, and utility assistance, family support services, etc. to continue to meet the needs in Clay County.
