We spend almost a third of our lives working (typically 90,000 hours over the course of our career), yet 80% of American workers are outright dissatisfied with their jobs. And today’s work environment seems to hold little promise of improvement as stagnant wages, excessive workloads and the fear of automation contribute to feelings of stress and desperation. Many of us simply feel stuck.
But God did not intend for work to be a burden. In fact, we believe we can all experience hope at work when we integrate our beliefs with the business world. Which is why we are creating a community of individuals who can come together to share ideas and identify opportunities to incorporate our hope-fueled faith in the workplace.
It does not matter what kind of job you have – blue collar, white collar or no collar – we all have a next step in our career (even if that next step is out the door and on to retirement). Come join us on Friday, October 11th from 11:30 to 1:00 at PV for the first in a series of events and interactions designed to ensure that the extensive time we spend in the workplace is aligned with God’s original intent. Cost is $10 and includes lunch from Jerusalem Café.
This would be an ideal lunch to invite a co-worker to as well!
