Ps 27, 1-3
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
When difficulties come, we can know we that we are his and he is ours. We are in a committed and sacred relationship with the living God, who holds us in his hand and nothing can snatch us away. Trouble will come our way, enemies are always around us, when we face situations that are overwhelming, our hearts do not have to run to fear but instead to the confidence of our Father who is greater than all. Because of that truth, we can give ourselves to him and trust His presence will see us through our greatest challenge.
Father, thank you that you are greater than every foe we face.
Before God, name the challenges you are facing.
Father, you are my light and my salvation. Your light reveals my challenges and they are never as big as you are. Your love is stronger than my greatest fear. I look to you to be the strength of my life.
Express to the Father how you are experiencing his strength in your life right now.
Thank you for your love and strength that holds me today.
