Ps 27:10-12

10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.

11 Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.

12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.

Life’s difficulties happen to us all and when they do we have to respond.  The question is how; will we respond in the ways life has conditioned us or the ways our minds and emotions think best or will we turn to the Lord and learn new ways of facing our challenges.   When we learn from the Lord, he will lead us down new and different paths, different ways of thinking, responding, and relating to others.  Then we learn that is is because of the challenges we face that we are actually able to learn from the Lord and choose his ways of living.

Pray

Father, Thank you for graciously showing me new ways of facing the challenges that are before me.  Forgive me when I rely on my old patterns and the ways that make sense to me instead of looking to you and learning your ways.  Thank you for your patience with me and help me redirect my ways towards your paths that will always lead me to you.  Amen.
