You don’t have to go through a difficult time in life alone. Stephen Ministers are people like you – who have walked through brokenness and hardships and have experienced the healing grace and compassionate love of Jesus and want to help others in need. Stephen Ministers have been formally trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as loneliness, anxiety, grief, divorce, job loss, illness, or other life events.
During some seasons, a Professional Counselor may be the best Care Resource for you. The individuals we recommend closely align with the Christian values and beliefs of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Select a counselor that best fits your personal needs.
We have a goal to give away 100 vehicles over the course of the next two years. These cars are given to those who qualify through the PV Care Ministry. If you have a vehicle model year 2003 or newer that you would like to donate, contact email@example.com
Opportunities to Serve
Become a Stephen Minister
A Stephen Minister is part of an amazing team. We believe each of us is gifted in:
- Equipping people to use their gifts in Ministry
- Helping people during challenging times and grow in their faith
- Providing care and support for hurting people
- Reaching unchurched people with the Love of Jesus
Donate a Vehicle
We are currently accepting donations of vehicles model year 2003 or newer with working engines and transmissions. The PV Cars Ministry will make any safety repairs needed and provide them to a person in need who has been qualified through the PV Cars Ministry. If the vehicle is beyond the repair scope of our team, we will scrap the vehicle and use the money toward other Care Ministries’ needs.
Hospital and Homebound Team
The purpose of PV’s hospital and homebound ministries is to provide love and a sense of community to those who are no longer able to travel to church or are in the hospital. As COVID restrictions lift, we want to be equipped and ready to care for those who have been isolated and alone.
