LIBERTY LIGHT SHOW UPDATE
During preparation work for the Liberty Light Show earlier this week, a fire occurred in the southwest corner of the church property within two shipping containers used for the show. The fire was contained to those containers, and no surrounding structures or equipment were affected. We are thankful there were no injuries, and the Liberty Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire.
While the fire was swiftly contained, the equipment and supplies used for the performance were damaged beyond repair. We are disappointed that we will not be able to host the Liberty Light Show.
Beginning in 2015, Liberty Light Show was a gift from Pleasant Valley to our community and grew into a tradition for families to make memories surrounding the Christmas season. Yearly lighting programmers spent, on average, 10 hours per minute of music to develop a custom experience for viewers. Planning and programming began in July, with musician rehearsals and construction starting in mid-October.
We want to thank our ministry partners who were instrumental in making the Liberty Light Show happen.
